But now that I'm an adult, I can make all the silly decisions that I want. Because that is what being a grown up is all about. And since I currently don't work in an office, I figured what better time to experiment? I saw this photo last week, showed it to my boyfriend and told him how awesome I thought it was.

By a recommendation from Brendan, I decided to go to Floyd's Barbershop on Melrose. Apparently he used to get his haircut there all the time and it's a funky little place that he thought would know how to color (every stylist had some dye in their hair).

It is not as blond as I thought it would be (and as my inspiration picture above), but that's probably for the best. I should ease into a full-blond look. But he put four colors in - pink, green, purple, and blue - and I love them! I think it's fun and funky and good for a change.
The colors are only supposed to last for 7-10 washes, so I won't be shampooing my hair as much, which apparently you aren't supposed to do every day anyway. But I did pick up some sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner last night, which should help keep the colors in a little longer. I also figure if the colors fade and I want more of them, I'll try the ol' kool-aid hair dye trick (reverting back to 7th grade again).
Would you try a funky hair style just for fun? I find that coloring my hair is much less permanent and easy to change back. A cut on the otherhand... I hacked off all my hair about 3 years ago and it is FINALLY back to the length I want it. Never. Again.
I saw that picture on the internet before, and I LOVED it. But now that I work in an office I can't do it. But I'm glad you did! It looks SO awesome!
