Hello! Anyone out there? Bueller?... Bueller?
Long time, no write, huh? It's been a minute, but I've decided to get back into it. I felt a little unmotivated with my blog, to be honest. I love cooking, and I have still kept it up daily, but what I make isn't terribly exciting. I'm no Jessica over at How Sweet It Is. If I had the kitchen space, budget, and 8 extra hours a day to work all that fabulous food off, I would be. But I'm not, right? And I don't need to be.
I'm going to bring this back to things that I love and make me happy without trying to impress the masses. One of my favorite shows these days is ABC's The Chew. What I love about it is the accessibility that it provides the every day home cook. With their Five-in-Five meals (five ingredients in five minutes), Extra Value Fridays, and Meatless Mondays, I can feel like I'm cooking a gourmet meal for my man without a thousand-ingredient shopping list and four hours to slave over a hot stove. I like to use this show for inspiration and then create meals with what I have in the kitchen and ingredients that we both like.
What I'll plan to do in the future is show you all a list of meals we eat each week, rather than a picture play-by-play of the process. You'll see the foods that we love to eat, and hopefully you can gain some inspiration for your own meals. Because playing around and experimenting in the kitchen is what makes it so much fun, right?
And with that, friends, I'm back!
